Modern Bathroom Decor Plans

Thursday, May 23, 2019

So we moved into our new home about 3 weeks ago and I have been itching to get decorating.  I've decorated a few parts of the house already but I'm sure it won't stick after we start to get big furniture pieces haha!

The first room of the house I am going to be decorating is the bathroom.  Weird, I know, but it is the smallest room and requires the least amount of stuff to be done.  Plus we use it everyday so I want to love it.  I don't think I've ever loved one of my bathrooms, so i'm on a mission.

Summer Outfit Ideas Lookbook

Thursday, May 9, 2019

YOU GUYS.  I am sitting here writing this post and it is 80 degrees outside.  EIGHTY.  I was planning on writing this post already but holy cow am I even more in the mood to put together these outfits!

Today I have 5 adorable summer outfit ideas for you.  I know it is technically still spring for another like 2 months, but I wanted to give you guys some inspiration early so you can get first dibs on some great pieces.  I am so obsessed with all of these pieces and I can't wait to get to wear them more.

So let's jump right into it!

OUTFIT #1

OKAY so let's talk about this ADORABLE purple dress.  I am seriously so so so obsessed with this thing and I think it is officially my favorite piece I own.  I saw it awhile ago in Francesca's but I just couldn't justify spending $68 on it.

I seriously always thought about it and I went back in the other day to show my bff Ava the dress and it was on SALE. Not only was it on sale for $45, the sale section was buy one get one free.  So I ended up getting two amazing dresses for $45, which is almost half the original price of one.  I couldn't pass it up, seriously.

So, on to styling it.  I kept it pretty simple when styling it because it is so perfect on its own and I didn't want to take away from its beauty.

I just styled it with some nude heels for a more dressy look, which is what I wore to my fiancé's graduation. If you want to keep it more casual I would add either a denim or leather jacket and some simple white vans slip-ons.

OUTFIT #2:

This next outfit is also one of my favs.  I got this cute yellow jumpsuit from Forever 21.  I love the detail on the frilly sleeves and around the front.  It adds so much to the simple jumpsuit.

I wore this outfit to a garden center with my bff Paige and it was so comfy and cute.  I just paired it with a white t-shirt underneath (my fiancé's actually haha) and my white vans for a casual look.

OUTFIT #3:

This outfit is the ultimate spring / summer colors.  I actually wore this outfit to Easter this year and then a few days later because I love it so much.  Outfit repeat police please don't come for me.

The colors on this dress are so adorable I just love it so much.  I got this flowy yellow and white dress form Marshall's a few weeks ago, and I love everything about it.  It is so cute on it's own with some white vans but since I wore it to Easter and it was a little chilly, I popped over this light white sweater and loved how it looked.

My white sweater is from TjMaxx, and was featured in my 5 Spring Outfits post I did a few weeks ago.  This dress is so comfy and makes me feel so girly, I just love it.

OUTFIT #4:

This summer outfit is as simple as it gets.  A cute striped midi linen dress with some nude heels.  Boom done.  I got this adorable dress from TjMaxx about a month ago, and they have so many just like it, it was so hard to pick just one.

This dress is so beachy and SO comfy.  I mean yeah it's a flowy dress and most of the time they are comfy, but there's just something about this one y'all.  The under lining of it is so soft and smooth and it just feels so cozy.  Is that weird? 😂

These nude heels are from Boscov's from a couple of years ago.  I've worn them to college formal with my honey 2 years in a row now and they are so comfy I never had to take them off once!

OUTFIT #5:

I wore this outfit out to get ice cream with my love Mike and my off paige a couple of weekends ago and it was so fun but casual.  I'm really into the midi / maxi flowy skirts recently too.  This black one I thrifted this year and it was such a find!

With the skirt I paired this simple scrunchy white tank with some frill on the end and the same nude heels.  I think any simple stretchy tube top or tank like this looks adorable with longer skirts and it is just such a simple outfit.

I am so ready for summer y'all and let me tell you, the outfit posts don't stop here because well to be quite honest, I have a shopping problem...  But I can't wait to show you guys more of the cute stuff I find!

Do you have any favorite summer pieces? Let me know, I'm always looking for more cute pieces!😍

50+ Gift Ideas for Every Kind of Mom this Mother's Day

Thursday, May 2, 2019

Mother's day is coming up and what better way is there to thank the woman who gave you life and does everything for you, other than to get her something to show you appreciate her?

Shopping for people is HARD. Especially for moms.  Just me? No? I didn't think so.  I know my mom  isn't the only one who says she "doesn't want anything" or "all I need is to spend time with you".  Yes, they may really mean it, but it just won't fly.

This woman carried you for 9 months and went through months of possible pain and uncomfort to give you life and bring you into this world.  And then she did every single thing possible for you, and I bet she still does.  I don't think there is any possible thing you could buy for her that tops what she's done for you, but we have to try, because she deserves it!

That's why I created a list of 50+, YES FIFTY, gift ideas to give your mom this May 12th.  And the best part?  Oh yea, I split them into 5 different categories for 5 different types of moms to help you out😉
