Modern Bathroom Decor Plans

Thursday, May 23, 2019

So we moved into our new home about 3 weeks ago and I have been itching to get decorating.  I've decorated a few parts of the house already but I'm sure it won't stick after we start to get big furniture pieces haha!

The first room of the house I am going to be decorating is the bathroom.  Weird, I know, but it is the smallest room and requires the least amount of stuff to be done.  Plus we use it everyday so I want to love it.  I don't think I've ever loved one of my bathrooms, so i'm on a mission.

We have a tiny bathroom.  Like, tiny.  But I do actually really love it.  It has SO much storage which is crazy, and much needed for us.  Since we are renting the place this isn't a full reno or anything, just adding some decor to make it feel like ours.

Luckily, this house has all white trim, doors, baseboards, and light grey walls, which is AMAZING and I praise our landlord for that haha.

Here is what our bathroom looked like right when we moved in.  Not bad at all, just needs some personal touches!

First of all, I LOVE that we have a window in our bathroom.  It brings in so much light and makes it feel so airy and fresh all the time, it is my favorite part.  I am not going to add any curtains right now because I really don't think it needs it.

We have this little nook where the toilet is which is perfect for the shelves I've always wanted to add over the toilet for styling and storage, so that is exactly what I am going to do!  I am just going to do light wood shelves with black brackets and style them with some vintage pieces, art, and plants!

I also love adding these amber bottles around wherever I can.  I am one of those people who hates the colorful product packaging being out because it just makes it feel so cluttered in my opinion.  So I am planning to use them for our hand soap and lotion that is out of the cabinets.

Shoutout to my mom who bought me some of the glass bottles already. #realmvp

I'm keeping things clean with a white shower curtain, white bath mat and light colored towels to keep everything cohesive and natural looking.

I am going to add matte black bath towel hooks and a hand towel ring to add a little dimension and darkness into the space.  I will tie in the black from those into the art in the space as well!

Some of these little details could change as I make progress on the bathroom, but this is just basically my brain vomit on decorating the space.

Subscribe to my email list to be updated when I post the bathroom reveal!  If any of you have any other ideas I could do to the space let me know!  Have a good day!
