Volkswagen Bus Dresser

Hi friends!  This post is going up a little late because I finally got sick....I've been waiting for this darn cold to hit me and oh boy it did.  I just haven't had the motivation to do any work since I have been sick but today I am doing it! Buuuuuut, I am sure you won't mind a late post considering this one is so fun!

Today I have this fun little Volkswagen Bus Dresser makeover to share with you featuring some of Country Chic's pretty paint colors!

(The Paint used for this project was so kindly sent to me by Country Chic Paint, but all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own! :))

So I picked up this vintage waterfall dresser and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!  I had been seeing these awesome VW Bus Dressers on Pinterest for awhile so I know I wanted to recreate it!  I took my inspiration from Larissa over at Prodigal Pieces so go check out her post Garage Sale Freebie to Volkswagen Bus to see how she did it!

Products Used:

To start off I filled the holes on the drawers and had a few little repairs to do on the bottom and then I painted the whole thing white!  To save paint I only did one coat on the whole thing, but 3 on the top part that was actually going to be white.

Next I cut out some templates to trace my windows.  No measuring was involved, I just kinda was winging it for this whole project!  I finished tracing and drawing my design onto the whole dresser and got to painting.

Now painting over the lines is pretty self explanatory, but for the darker grey lines I used Country Chic's Pebble Beach, and for the inside of the windows and headlights I used a mixture of Pebble Beach and Crinoline.

For the bottom section I used this cute color called Mermaid's Tale from Country Chic!

After all of the painting was done, I put on the knobs!  I just painted them depending on where they were going to be on the dresser and BOOM I was done!!

This project took me a little bit to complete but its done and on the way to a new home!  Here are some beauty shots! :)

Let me know what you all think of this little cutie in the comments!😍
