Dark Grey Side Table Transformation : Country Chic Paint

Tuesday, September 3, 2019

It's wedding week!!! Can ya'll believe it? I know I can't, it feels like a dream!  As I prepare for this crazy week and head home,  I pre typed some blog posts so that I still had some content going up.  Get excited!

Todays post is going to be a short and sweet side table makeover using some Country Chic Paint in the color Hurricane 😍

DARK GREY SIDE TABLE TRANSFORMATION

I couldn't decide what I wanted to do with these at first and I just kept changing my mind.  I was going to do a pretty beige color with some black wax accents BUT then I remembered they had also sent me the gorgeous color Hurricane.  It is such a pretty dark grey with a hint of blue in it and I am obsessed.

(The products used for this makeover were so kindly sent to me by the team over at Country Chic Paint, but all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own!)

Products:

These nightstands started out pretty basic, with some scratches and chipping happening on the top.

They were cute don't get me wrong, but they were in desperate need of a new look.  Which is exactly what we did.

This makeover is pretty simple.  I cleaned them up, and gave them a good prime to prep for the painting process.

I grabbed my trust Oval Paint Brush from Country Chic and got to painting.  This color is so rich and dark and only needed 2 coats which was A M A Z I N G!  I think I made the right decision for these end tables!

After letting the paint dry for a full day, I grabbed my Clear Coat and painting sponge and gave the whole piece a topcoat.  I let it dry completely in between each coat.  I gave the whole piece two coats and the top got 4 coats for ultimate protection!

And that's it, two old end tables got a whole new look with just a little bit of paint and time :))

Let me know what you guys think of these pretty things!
