Custom Plum Farmhouse Buffet

Happy Wednesday Friends!

I have a busy week ahead of me (which is why this post is a day late) as I finish up some pieces, write blog posts, and prep for our Halloween Party this upcoming Saturday!

This post is going to be a short and sweet makeover on a huge buffet that I painted in a pretty plum custom mix I made using some Country Chic Paint Colors!

(The products used in this post were so kindly sent to me by the team over at Country Chic Paint, but all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own!)

So I found this big buffet at Goodwill and I decided to pick it up because it was in super good shape!!  It only had a few spots of chipped veneer, but that was an easy fix!

So the origianl plan for this buffet was to paint it in Country Chic Paint's color mixing recipe in the color Blood Rose.  But, somewhere along the way I messed up big time and it ended up purple....this is the second time this has happened 😂

I need to up my color mixing game apparently! But, I stuck with the color, and I am actually super happy with how it turned out!

I gave this baby a quick clean, patched up some chipped veneer, and gave it  a quick prime!

Next up I took the doors off and all of the hardware and started painting!  I gaev this pretty piece 3 coats of the plum paint color and let it dry completely before applying my topcoat of choice.

For this project I decided to use Country Chic's natural wax because I love the smooth and silky finish it gives as an end product!

I also decided to line the drawers and the inside of the cabinet doors with some pretty fabric I picked up from Joann's Fabrics because the felt on the inside of the drawers was pretty gross.

I just cut it to size and used my mod podge to apply it! Lastly I added my hardware back on and she was ready for staging and a photo shoot.  Taking this thing inside for pictures was not easy, but thankfully I have an amazing husband who helps me move all of my pieces for staging!

Also shout out to him for letting me move everything in our house around for staging purposed every single week!

Don't forget I am a Country Chic Paint brand Ambassador and you can use my code below on your first order!
