Happy Friday Friends!!  I am so excited for it to be the weekend!  We are going home for the first time since our wedding, and although I am not a fan of the drive, I am SUPER excited to hit the thrift stores at home to see what good stuff I can find!

Until then, I have this super cute Navy and Gold Vintage Dresser Makeover to share with you guys!  this piece looks so sleek and pretty and I love the nautical vibe I get from it!

(The products used in this post were so kindly sent to me by the team over at Country Chic Paint, but all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own!)

Thank ya'll for supporting the brands I love so I get to keep working with them and creating content for you guys!

Products Used:

Gripper Primer

We picked up this piece from Goodwill and it wasn't in terrible shape surprisingly.  It was such a cool detailed piece, I just couldn't pass it up!  So we grabbed that baby, along with another piece you will see in a makeover soon and headed home!

So, the only thing wrong with this piece was it was missing one piece of trim on the drawer.  Luckily it was a simple piece of trim and could be easily replicated.  At first I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to find a piece so I had tossed the idea of taking all of those pieces off back and forth, but I really didn't want to do that.

So Mike and I headed to Home Depot and he spotted this piece of trim that was almost IDENTICAL to what was on the dresser.  It have four notches instead of 3, but I figured I could easily slice that off and make it match, which I did!

So I cut it to size, and nailed it on, and we were ready for paint!

I did prime this piece with my trusty gripper primer because it had a shinier finish!

Next up I used my trusty oval paint brush, and Country Chic's Peacoat and gave this baby 2 coats of paint!

Here is the first coat!

Once that was dry I applied a combo of clear wax and black wax to give this piece a deep silky finish!

I gave the original hardware a very light spritz of gold spray paint to freshen it up, but still keep that vintage feel by not spraying it solid, I put them back on and this pretty thing was ready for staging!

Here are some snapshots! :)
